I am making the attached cake (crossing fingers that it works) and I am debating on what to make the "connectors" with. I am planning on making the circles out of gumpaste, using the cricut. I was then planning on using royal for the connectors but thought gumpaste might look better and be more precise. Any thoughts/opinions?

I guess nevermind... since I can't get the attachment to work and I don't want to post it to my photos. In case anyone has a clue as to what cake I am talking about. It is a yellow fondant cake with white "open" circles on it. Each circle has 8 connectors to the circles around it.
