I was looking at the wilton decorating nail set and the wilton 12 piece cupcake decorating set and was wondering if anyone else has them and if there worth buying? I'm a newbie at decorating cupcakes and wasn't sure if the nail set would really help me. As for the 12 piece set is it better just to buy the stuff individually or is worth the package?

12piece comes with star tips 1M, star tip 22, round tip 12 and Bismarck tip 230 for exciting filled cupcakes, plus 8 disposable bags, instruction booklet ($7.99)

The nail kit comes with 1.5, 2, 2.5 in. Flower Nails and 2.25 x 2.5 in. Cupcake Nail ($6.99)

Thanks!

I think if you're a beginner, the 12-piece cupcake decorating set will be good to get for that price.

I got the nail kit for my sister when she was just beginning and she never used it. I think it's a waste.

The bismark tip will not be good for a lot of filling. Here's a link on how to use an apple corer.

And one on how to use icing plugs for your icing so that you can use your "disposable" bags a lot longer. But I would get a regular bag for later on.
