I am doing a very small 2 tier cake draped in white MMF. The bride likes the ribbon-around-the-cake look. I have VERY thin black satin ribbon and need to know if I need to prep the ribbon with a coat of veg oil before wrapping to avoid grease seepage? I've seen that advised with buttercream but nothing about MMF. Hoping I can just wrap and secure w/ a few drops of royal icing to secure it in place? Any advice is appreciated!! Thanks
You don't need to coat it in oil, just wrap and secure with royal icing or chocolate.
