There was a bridal doll cake in the most favorites a few weeks ago - the dress was fondant and looked like it was twirling almost. I have been trying to find the pic, but there are just too many to search thru, did anyone happen to save it? It was so pretty and I am making one this weekend, I would love it for inspiration icon_smile.gif

okred - yours is beautiful too! I wanted to get some ideas for the skirt (don't want it to look too plain) - I may try ruching out of fondant. We'll see how it works! I'll post pics when it is done later.

I saw a beautiful one recently that had that flowing, swirly look and thought you meant that. If it helps I trimmed down the sides of the top of the cake so it wasn't too full and rounded and placed sausages of fondant round it to get that swirling look.
Okred loved your cake too. I love the layers and the detail on the bodice and will keep that idea in mind if I ever get to do another one.
