i'm doing a cake for a friend of mine this weekend. it's about 10 girls that are all turning 30 this summer. i haven't settled on the perfect design just yet. i wanted something bright and colorful.

also was thinking of a cute quote to put on it and then decorate based around that idea.

any suggestions for me? my brain is fried this week!! thanks

I am making my sisters 30th birthday cake this weekend as well and we are basically just making gumpaste figures and things from all the things that make her her. Places she shops, eats, cars she had, funny experiences. We are doing a 3 tiered topsy turvy cake that is going to be white with black polka dots and then all the things kind of scattered around.

You could do the same for the 10 girls depending on how many common things you can find.

Or if all of you love say Coach, Victoria's Secret etc. you could make a 3 tier cake with each tier being a store that you guys love with the logo or color of bag as the tier.
