If I let cake layers cool and then fill and ice with oreo buttercream, can I freeze it like that if well wrapped? or should I freeze layers separately and construct tomorrow?

Thanks!!

You can freeze it like that. I actually prefer to fill and then refrigerate to make sure the filling is set and cold before I ice. Just me icon_smile.gif

thanks for the reply - I thought about refridgerating, but as it's a whole 24 hrs i thought that would dry the cake out, whereas the freezer would keep them moist??

Brush the cake with a simple syrup, and do the filling and dirty ice the outside and you'll be fine in the fridge icon_smile.gif
