I need some help coming up with a design for a baby shower cake. My friend who the baby shower is for wants either a Care-bear or strawberry shortcake themed cake. She is having a little girl. I was thinking maybe making little spelling blocks spelling out the babies name, but after that I am drawing a blank. I was also thinking about just buying those little figures of the care-bears or strawberry shortcake to maybe not make this cake a pain in you know what. I am just drawing a blank so any suggestions would be helpful.

There are ten gazillion baby shower cakes in the CC galleries. Just do a search. Also, type in your specs in the Google search engine and put it in Images. Again, you'll see lots of ideas!

Wilton's 2005 (I think) yearbook has a really cute Strawberry Shortcake cake in it and there are several versions of it here on CC. Here's a recent one:

I like the Care-Bear cakes that join two cloud cakes with a rainbow like this one:

Wilton has a Care-Beat cake pan I used once.

You could make that and add some baby block around it.

Thanks for the links.... as I checked many out before posted in the forums. I guess I was looking for some different ideas as design wise. What do yall think of a topsy turvy cake maybe 2 tiers? I don't know how I would incorporate the blocks into the cake. Just drawing a blank. Those cakes from the links are cute and all. I don't know hopefully the design will come to me in my sleep. icon_sad.gif
