I have a request for a cake for a 13 year old girl. Mother wants to add a soft ball somewhere on the cake but keep it girly. She wants the softball to be yellow.I am also having a hard time with colors. Please help.

I did a 16th Birthday cake for a girl who was really into sports but still liked to be a girly girl sometimes. Here's the colors I went with:

I think yellow and pink go really well together so you could do that or you could go black and hot pink because that is very girly and teenagers also love bright colors and animal print.

I love the cake with the 9 on it from JanH's gallery - personally I like the pastels, but a teen might appreciate something a bit more neon-like....

I like the color scheme and overall design of the cake SarahBeth3
posted. What if you did mini softballs coming out of the cake instead of the stars? Or you could mix it up and do some stars, some softballs?
