I'm having a playdate and I'll have a couple of 3 and 5 yr olds over, as well as my own kids the same age. I need a reasonable cupcake decorating project. I want them to be able to do it themselves. icon_smile.gif Any ideas?
TIA

I did this with my 5yr old and her 4yr old friend plus my 3yr old son.

I made the cakes in the morning and some chocolate frosting, I then left some cakes plain and some with frosting swirled on.

I gave the kids a big square of greasproof paper to work on(to catch stray sprinkles) and gave them a plate with little piles of different sprinkles on.

I also rolled out some fondant and cut some simple things like a small flower and a little bear.

I also bought some of those little tubes of ready made writing icing for them to use as I dont think they would get how to use an icing bag just yet.

they loved it and made some cute cakes (they are in my pics)
