Here's my 5-tier hex cake: http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1510536

I just cut cardboards to shape (used the pans as a template, and my handy dandy box cutter!). I always use wooden dowels for my cakes, except for 5 tier ones. In those, I use the wilton hollow plastic ones in the bottom tier and then just the wooden dowels in all other tiers.

But basically .... wooden dowels and cardboards. That's it. thumbs_up.gif

P.S. I did final assembly on-site.

thank you very much. I always use dowels too, but my biggest cake so far has been a 3 tier. icon_biggrin.gif
