Hi Cakers!
I am in need of a good Rose Tutorial. Fondant or Gum paste only. Not interested in buttercream. With the exception of Edna on Youtube, are there any other great visuals, books, DVDs or tutorials on-line out there?
Thank you!
Michael
I like Edna's videos but they didn't work for me when making roses. For some reason I just couldn't get the hang of them no matter how many books I read or videos I watched.
This one is the one that finally got it to work for me. There are 4 videos that you click on: making the cone (the link below), rose bud, medium rose, and full rose.

Not sure why this video worked the best but it did and I have referred to it many times with great success.
Glenda Galvez has a DVD called "Pear Edged Bows and Roses My Way" that is reasonably priced and has easy to understand directions. Her roses are amazingly beautiful and realistic. I took a class from her on roses and the DVD is almost as good as her in-person instruction. She is also great at answering any questions you have if you e-mail her. I don't remember the name of her website but just google her name and it will come up. She has a tutorial on YouTube for making a daisy also.
Several CC'ers have recently raved about this set of gumpaste rose how-to's from YouTube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYkPhb-_gDg&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
