I am making cupcakes for a graduation party in 2 weeks. I plan to make graduation caps out of fondant for the top of the cupcake. How far in advance can I make them?
Thanks in advance for any advice icon_smile.gificon_smile.gif

I make mine a couple weeks in advance, that way I have plenty of drying time. I am just careful with the color, since certain colors fade fast, I'll keep them in a box.

Thanx, do you put them in an air tight container or just a regular box?

Just put them in a regular cardboard box. They do not need to be airtight.
Add a bit of gumpaste to the fondant and they will dry firmer and quicker.

Don't put them in an airtight box. Take it from my experience. thumbsdown.gif I did that once and they were awful. Seemed to get gooey instead of dry.
