Reese Filling

I have a customer who would like mini reeses peanut butter cups chopped up in the filling. Has anyone ever tried this with buttercream or maybe chocolate buttercream. Any help would be greatly aprreciated. TIA

I have made a peanut butter buttercream with chopped up reeses! It is amazing! It ends up tasting a lot like the filling in the reeses with chocolate chunks in it. Put it in a really good chocolate cake and it is my absolute favorite!

For the PB buttercream I just sub out one cup of the butter (I don't use crisco much) or a little more with PB and add PS till it looks right. I also add a few splashes of heavy whipping cream. It is a bit more dense than regular buttercream but it is a great filling and no worries of bulging because it is pretty stiff! HTH!
