I'm pretty new to decorating, and I want to make a grill cake for Father's Day. I want to put a hot dog and hamburger on top. How would I go about making the hot dog out of fondant and have it look smooth and even? I'm planning on using red, burgundy, and brown. Any thoughts??
Just roll it into a cylinder using a smoothing paddle instead of your palm to make it even and not to show your finger creases. Then twist off the ends to look like the ends of deli dogs. You can also seer in the grill lines with a pastry torch. Hope that made sense good luck
