Hi all,
Iv a problem.
Iv started making cakes for friends and family, and not really being a good judge of what makes a good tasting cake, as I think everything is great,I recently tasted my choc cake at a party, and realized to my horror it was really too bitter.it's the recipe from Scott clashes book,if anyone is familiar?it's made with cocoa, and I use good quality ingredients, but it was too bitter. I'm looking for the perfect vanilla cake recipe, and choc cake recipe, that will have a shelf life, to allow time to decorate it,and if this isn't being too cheeky, not too expensive to make as I don't really charge anything for the familyicon_smile.gif

I would be very grateful if someone out there could give me the recipes that I will hopefully pass down to my kids one day.
Thanks
