Hi. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, or if it has been asked elsewhere - what is the best way to store a fondant covered cake after it has been cut? When I put it in an airtight box, the fondant melts, but to leave it out, will the cake not dry out? Is there a way to avoid the fondant melting? I'm using bought fondant, haven't tried to make my own yet!

I usually just store my cut cakes in a cake container or on the cake board under some saran wrap. It will only last for a few days though once it's been cut.

Press plastic wrap onto the cut edges of the cake.
