I'm making a cake for a baby shower in June. It will be outdoors, in a park and wondered if Fondant would hold up well? Also what would be the best icing to use to crumb coat? I was thinking butter cream but I have been told it's not a good idea since it will be outdoors and it doesn't do well if not refrigerated. Thanks icon_smile.gif

Fondarific does. When I made an outdoor wedding cake last June for my cousin I did a little research. We live in CA so it get pretty warm. I can't remember the exact temp that the quoted me but you can email them they answer pretty quickly.

Forgot to add I did use butter cream under the fondant. My recipe is part butter and Hi ratio and it held up fine. You just want to make sure the cake is not displayed in direct sunlight.
