Gold Lettering... How?

I an having to write the titles of some old classic books for a graduation cake and I'd love to be able to write it on the spine myself (esp since the letters are so small!

Here's my ???... Is there a pen that I can use to do this in gold? Is it a paint or a combo of extract and pearl dust??? I need identifiable gold lettering... Any suggestions?

When I paint with gold it's a mixture of any liquid and gold luster dust. Use a small paint brush and I dip it in water or vodka, then the dust then kinda mix it together in a little cup, or on a plate, and paint it on. Good Luck!

you could pipe it in royal icing, let dry, and then paint with lemon extract or vodka plus gold lustre dust. good luck!
