The image didn't attach.

Try using a link to the photo (since the attachment to post feature isn't currently working).

Is it piped layer by layer?

Sorry, Jennifer-t. I think I meant 2D. I had the 127D right in front of me (sending it to my sister) and I messed up.

Here's a thread where someone showed her cupcakes and what tips she used.

And here's something else I found in my files:

I'll see if I can find anything else, and hope other people come to tell!

Here you go, jennifer-t. I knew I had this somewhere.

This shows you how.

AHh, thank you so much! you are a life saver!

I normally use a closed star tip and get a much "neater" swirl. I got an order for the swirl that looks like it has lots of layers and I had no clue on what tip to use.

Thanks again!! icon_smile.gif

Also, wanted to let you know that depending on where you start, you get a different look. From the center it will look more like a rose, but from the outside, it will look like your previous sample, ending with the tip in the center.

This is her flickr so that you can see her other cupcakes.
