i have made gumpaste flowers for a cake but i want to attach them to the side of the cake but dont know what to use any suggestions please !!
I would use either royal icing or gumpaste glue. Gumpaste glue you just break a little gumpaste off into a little bit of water and let it disolve, You will notice it will get sticky. Although I think royal is your best bet, I hope they are not heavy flowers. Good Luck!!
If they are small flowers I sometimes use clear corn syrup. If they are heavier I would use the gum paste glue mentioned above.
i will try these ideas and thank you for the tips much appreciated !!!
You didn't say if you were attaching your flowers to a buttercream cake or a fondant covered cake. It does depend on how heavy the flowers are. If they are heavy and you want to attach to buttercream, I use melted chocolate; piping gel works well too if they are not heavy.
they will attach to fondant and it will be small roses but i cant seem to see them sticking with glue but i will try the piping gel never thought of that !! thanks all
