Hiya

I'm going to attempt making a spiral cake but although I've found instructions on how to carve it, I haven't seen anything on covering the carved tiers in fondant seamlessly. Does anyone have any tips? Or will I need to cover in strips?

thanks!

If you have a nice pliable fondant and are reasonably confident of your skill with it, you could try covering in just one piece. Otherwise, you could use separate strips, placing them strategically so that you can cover up the seams with borders and other decorations. I personally have had very little luck in getting seams to disappear in fondant, although I know there are people who say they can do it.
