Rkt And Modeling Chocolate

I am going to be trying my first RKT dog covered with modeling chocolate to look like a chocolate lab (I hope, anyone know of any good tutorials?) tonight or tomorrow night but the cake is not due till friday. Should I wait to do it later? Can it be put in the fridge, with the chocolate on it?

It always seems like I ask a question that has already been asked, if that's so, my apologies, but your help is always appreciated.

if it is just rkt and modeling chocolate, you will be fine doing it now and storing it in the fridge. I've done a full size scotti dog with that same technique, stored in fridge for 5 days just fine. not sure how it tasted, the family loved it and didn't want to eat it..it looked the same and i'm sure it tasted fine too.
