I am just a hobby cake decorator, have only been doing them since the end of march this year for friends and family and I have then only charged for ingredients if at all. Now my cousin's cousin has asked me to make a cake for her sons birthday and I am not sure what to charge her for it, it cost me about £20 for all the ingredients, and as she is kind of family I don't want to charge a lot, but at the same time I would like to start making some money on them to put towards expanding my collection of cake decorating 'stuff'. The cake in question is in my photos and it is the Xbox cake. It is 2 layers of 12 inch by 8 inch sponge with jam and buttercream covered with fondant plus the controllers are cake covered with fondant.
