I recently did a large cookie order for a fundraiser. I used a cookie cutter in the shape of "Africa" as one girl from our church is going on a "Missions" trip this summer to "Africa." I also iced them in the colors of the flag, red, yellow and green. I had a hard time making the "red" color and it ended up being a dark "pink." How do you make the color "red?"

I use americolor too. And I mix the icing to almost the color I want it, then let it sit in an airtight container for several hours of overnight. It will darken a bit as it sits, so the color when you use it will be more red than several hours before when you mixed it.
