Any advice on how to use this stuff...?

I tried adding some silver pearl effect to lavendar gumpaste today and got results I wasn't happy with...

At first i was just brushing it on, and it seemed as though it wasn't going to stay, so i made the gumpaste a little wet then the dust seemed to just clump up in some areas...?

any advice on what works best...?

If the gumpaste has dried out already it doesn't stick so well when brushed on dry. You could try mixing it with rose spirits or vodka and painting it on.

Thanks for the input... the gumpaste was still pliable when we started brushing it on, but was in the initial stages of drying...

Next time we will try and brush it on quicker...

How about fondant...? any tips for using it on that medium...?
