Has anyone tried mixing strawberry preserves with cream cheese to use for a filling? Just wondering if it worked or tasted good before I try it. Or does anyone have a better idea?

I stopped making purees when I found an award-winning gourmet jam company. It is great in every kind of frosting... CC, IMBC, FBC, custard based.

I've mixed good quality strawberry preserves with cream cheese frosting (yummmmmy)...but I've never tried it with plain cream cheese.

Sorry, I assumed you meant a filling. I would sweeten it for cakes. I use cream cheese/jam for accompaniments to my breads and scones, but I would not use i on a cake.

Mmmmm... I've used that mixture forever as a fruit dip, it would be sooooo good in a cake, I never thought of it! I use equal parts marshmallow fluff and cream cheese.

I actually use it all the time, and it my family happens to like it very much. But that marshmallow fluff one sounds delish.

I also use NUTELLA alot i add some chopped pecas or almonds and it is very yummy as well.
