If I mix gumpaste and fondant 50/50 will it still dry really hard like gumpaste? My supply store ran out of my gumpaste mix and I need more than I already have. I have some fondant and was wondering if I could just add that into what I have. Its really important that it be able to dry really hard.

Yes, it will, but it takes a bit longer. I use it for all my flowers. You may find you like it better than straight gumpaste; because it doesn't dry as fast it gives you more workable time.

Thanks Elcee,

I found a recipe for gum paste with only 3 ingredients..powdered sugar, egg whites and tylose. It only took a few minutes and I like it better than my store bought mix.
