where are they??? im helping out a bakery until they can find an experienced buttercream decorator but hardly anyone has applied. Those that have are just home bakers and really not up to working in a store. Im beginning to think that perhaps a business teaching bakery skills might be a good idea, perhaps a 4 week intensive course, kind of like the bar tending courses they have. I mean where else does one get training to work as a cake decorator in a real bakery apart from on the job training.

There might be a burnout factor, working in a high-volume bakery can wear people out. Have you reached out to local culinary schools and colleges with pastry programs? It might even be worthwhile to talk to Wilton instructors and pay them a referral fee for a successful hire.
