i have been thawing a cake to decorate for tomorrow and it is thawed but it is sticky to the touch and the middle seems doughy..but it was done when i baked and put them in the freezer...what can i do??
Sorry, but it sounds like it really was just a little underbaked. Can you trim that part?
is it a white cake? after freezing, those usually come out gummy on the top. just trim it as normal (the gummy gunk should come off) and you should be fine
Did you leave it wrapped to thaw? If not you are allowing the moisture to escape. It is probably coming to the surface and leaving it sticky and doughy.
