I am seeing so many cute cakes and cupcakes and am finding that they are being done with marzipan. I know nothing about marzipan except that it is made with almonds. Can anyone tell me more about it? Do you make it or buy it? Is it easy to use? How does it taste? Is it an alternative to fondant? Maybe this info is already here somewhere - if so, just point me in the right direction please!!!

You can buy marzipan. I've noticed I can't find it in every grocery store, but Fresh Market and Whole Foods usually carry it.
