My mom has shown all her friends pictures of the cakes i've made and now she tells me that they want to know if i'd be willing to make some cakes for them to buy! And OF COURSE I AM! icon_surprised.gif
Buuuuuut... i don't know where to start in taking orders. What exactly should i know about the cake they want? i have an idea, but i'd like to know what people out there (like you) ask when selling a cake.

Start by getting a cake contract. You can search on here for starters. Good luck

The first step is to make sure you are legal. ID does not have a cottage food law, so if you want to sell cakes you would need to build a second kitchen on your property that can pass inspection or rent an existing commercial kitchen, since it is illegal to sell food made in your home kitchen if it cannot pass a health dept inspection.
