I need to put a Satin Ribbon border around each layer of my cake for this weekend. The cake is going to be frosted in Buttercream.

I plan to spread some shortening on the ribbon and clean off and let dry before adding it to the cake. Sound ok? Also, how do I attach the ribbon in the back of the cake?

Sounds good! Just attach with a little b/c.
