What Do I Use To Hold Fondant On?

Okay so my cake is crumbcoated in chocolate ganache and has hardened.What can I use to hold the fondant on with...Water...Gel,,Syrup?

I used crisco when I did mine.

Crisco or you can mist it with water. thumbs_up.gif

I spray (mist) vodka before I apply fondant. Don't know pros or cons. When I started, I read that somewhere that sometimes water could mold, so use vodka. Always have and it works well. Not saying that water won't work, just passing on my experiences. Hope this helps!
