I made a batch of NFSC and I want to color it brown. Do I just use the brown Wilton color OR use cocoa and add some form of liquid to balance?
TIA!

I've added lighter colors of Americolor gel directly to the batter (yellow, green, pink). For brown or black, I start with a chocolate cookie recipe. Not sure if the brown gel color will make the cookie dough dark enough. You could try rolling the dough out in cocoa powder but I don't think I would add any to the recipe or add any additional liquid--it might throw off the chemistry of the dough.

The best thing to use is the wilton coloring gel and it wont make your dough runny. You can buy at walmart
