Can anyone help me, please? I followed a recipe to make light and fluffy chocolate icing.. And it looks more like pudding before it set! lol, I dunno what went wrong here...
2C chocolate chips
1C sour cream
and 4 1/2-5c sugar.
Melt butter and chocolate, cool for 5 minutes, put in mixing bowl, add sour cream and vanilla, mix, then the powdered sugar. SUUUUPER runny..
I doubled the recipe
add more powder sugar, should be fine
I added 2 more pounds.. and its still runny.. and super sugary now..
I'm so bummed out.. I totally just spent the last of my cash to get the 2 more pounds of p. sugar. I just wasted a cup of butter, 2 bags of chocolate, and 4 lbs of p. sugar. No mothers day cake for me
You could try putting it in the fridge to let the chocolate and butter firm up and see if that helps.
