OK, I'm doing a 50th wedding anniversary cake in June. I'm going with a (all 2 layers) 12 inch with 9 inch then 6 inch. For 100 people. I'm doing all butter cream with gold something.....What kind of flowers would you suggest? I was thinking gold butter cream roses. But how do you make gold butter cream? Or maybe some kind of gum paste flower? Any suggestions? Help!!!!

I would probebly do gumpaster flowers and you can put gold dust on them, I think that roses are the traditional flower but now days anything goes, if you did BC flowers I would probebly goe more so with royal icing instead the are stiffer and you can still use the dust on them. HTH

according to Teleflora, yellow roses and violets are the traditional flowers for a 50th anniversary.

So maybe you could do gold gumpaste roses and violets... That would be super pretty I think.
