I am working with candy clay sculpting a dinosaur .. Does anyone have any experience with this ?

I have to keep putting it in the refrigerator because it gets too hot and starts to lose its shape. I put some rice krispy in the head and covered it but the body is solid chocolate.

My worry now is will it melt on the cake ?

I've worked with Candy clay and think it is probably the heat of your hands that is making it melt. Once you get it finished, I don't think it will melt on your cake. I made roses one time and the lady I made them for still has them under a cake dome 2 1/2 years later! Hope that helps.

thanks Elaine. I delivered that cake yesterday and it went well. The chocolate elements stood up and didn't melt with the heat of the room.. Thanks so much for your response !
