Does anyone have a recipe for a crusting sugar free buttercream icing? I want to make a mother's day cake for my diabetic mother in law, but can't find a recipe!!

I don't think you are going to find a sugar free "buttercream" recipe due to the powdered sugar. Sugar shack has a sugar free cool-whip type icing recipe on her blog. I don't have a link, but maybe someone else will.
