First thing that came to mind was this phrase.
If I Knew Being a Grandparent Was This Much Fun, I Would Have Done it First"
If you plug the first part into Google you'll see several different options...a few humorous ones too.

Thanks for your response! Funny, I was just looking at related quotes and thought about that one. I also thought of doing a cute cupcake cake maybe something like this teddy bear:
