Meet your new bff, Edna De La Cruz. In this video on youtube, she shows you how to stack.

As a novice I would recommended starting with 2 tiers. Don't be afraid, practice, practice, practice!
It is not difficult to do and yes, you will need cake circles between your layers. I wrap mine in wax paper.
Good luck and if you need anymore help, please pm me. But I really think the video speaks for itself!
Good Luck!

Hi Bluv
Yes you need a cake board for each tier. Bubble tea staws are great for support. I've not used a wood dowel since finding out bubble tea straws existed. I think your idea of just making two tiers for now is a good one. Once you get past your first time stacking cake tiers, adding more on a future cake will be less nerve wracking.

Not sure if you have this info about stacking, using pillars etc from Wilton but its handy to have on hand if you don't.

Heres the direct link to tone ednas video on stacking.

Good luck!
