Thought I would get a jump on baking sheet cakes for my daughter's graduation so mixed up some batter and poured it in the pan. Didn't dawn on me until it was in the oven that I didn't measure the batter and I put too much in.

The cake looks ok in the pan but I'll have to do some trimming to get it out as it went over the sides. Hopefully getting the cake out doesn't turn into a full blown disaster...

We won't talk about how bad the oven looks or smells!

eh, that happens to me once a week. Cut off the excess and clean up the oven.

This is exactly why I line the bottom of my oven with aluminum foil. I have a hidden element in the bottom, so I just slide a big sheet of foil in there. I have to swap it out at least twice a month from run-overs.
