I normally buttercream and frost my cakes in the same day. But I just got done frosting my cakes and I am so tired I have decided to fondant them tomorrow. Do I need to cover the cakes to put them in the fridge for the night, or leave them uncovered?
I'm just so sleepy; I am not thinking straight. I really appreciate everyone's help.
I never put them in the fridge - unless they have perishable filling- they just dry out in there. And depending when I plan to do the fondant I may even put them back in the freezer. You can leave them on the counter, but cover if possible, to keep out dust. And get some sleep!
thank you... good idea. i'll just put a couple cake lids over them, leave them on the counter, and go to bed.
