i have a order for a pizza cake and it is to use only buttercream. i want to know if anyone has suggestions on how to make the cheese with buttercream?

Can you ask them if you can use white chocolate? The customer may not have thought about that option and maybe they will like that idea. It's not like it is going to cover the whole cake, it will just be a sprinkling. (use a cheese grater for the chocolate.)

Grate white chocolate or coconut over top.

What if you make the BC really runny and pipe it on like the cheese is really melted.Just make sure you get a few different color tones to make it look real.

try freezing some and shredding it on a cheese grater...maybe have never tried myself but I freeze it often and seems like it could possibly work.

Maybe you could make thick BC and freeze it in a block form, and then grate it on your 'pizza'? Not sure about that one, but I wanted to toss it out there. lol..
