Hello everyone! I am brand new to cake decorating (and even more brand new to cakecentral!). I have made a few birthday cakes for family and friends, taken the first Wilton class, but hope to perhaps one day make decorating a profession...if I can be half as skilled and talented as the members I have seen thus far! Anyway, I have used fondant only twice and both times I bought the Wilton ready made...it was a flop as far as taste goes. No one liked it...and I even tried flavoring it once! LOL Does anyone have any recipes for fondant that are good for practicing working with it and then some that taste great too! (or both if possible!) Any advice would be much appreciated!
There's your problem right there, using the Wilton fondant. Try Satin Ice or Fondex, they both taste wonderful
