I want to fit the icing for about 12 cupcakes in there that have a good sized swirl on top. I am thinking a 14" wilton bag but I am quite new to cake/cupcake decorating. icon_biggrin.gif

Depends on how much icing you put on the cupcake.

I use 20inch bags for everything lol! I HATE refilling pastry bags (not to mention it can become time consuming), so I just use the 20inch bags to be safe.

It does really depend on how much icing you plan on using and what tip you're using. If you're only doing 12 and just your typical 1M swirl...I would say a 16inch bag would work.

Paperfishies, I watched one episode of cake boss a few times and watched Buddy handle a 24" bag. In his book he talks about how to do it too. That saves so much time with big orders. I will have to get a 20" for smaller orders now that you recommended it.
