I am having problems with my icing staying the sides of my cake. I use the standard wiltons buttercream icing with dream whip added to it. I crumb coat and refregrate it and then cover with the colored icing. I go back later and most of the icing has puddled at the bottom. What I am doing wrong. Any suggestion will be greatly welcome.
Your veg shortening is zero trans fats, isn't it?
I use solid Crisco.
Crisco no longer has trans-fats... there's your problem.
I have alway used Crisco, and it but been just the last three months that I have been having this problem.
