icon_biggrin.gif Hi Ladies,

I have the recipe for Sugarshack's 6qt mixer, and mine is just barely 5qt.
The recipe gives the location for a 5 qt mixer but I have been unable to access the web site. Does anyone have the breakdown for the 5 qt. I want to get this right! I have some wedding cakes coming up and I am experimenting now, to find a good buttercream that smooths well.

Thank you for any help!

Sincerly,
Tess

Sugarshacks recipe is a ratio of 1 cup shortening to 1lb sugar.
I have the 4.5qt mixer so I use 4 cups shortening to 4lb sugar, I make 1 cup creamer and add flavours to taste (I don't usually use all the creamer). This always works for me. HTH

This is what I have written down for the 5qt mixer.

5 1/2 cups hi ratio shortening ( sweetex)
5 pounds powdered sugar
liquid which consists of 1)flavorings and 2) a liquid I make by mixing powdered coffee creamer, one cup to one cup hot water. I make this liquid up a few cups at a time and keep it in the fridge till I need it.
