So i went to the store and bought the cutest fabric to cover a cake board for a baby shower. Then, as someone here suggested or mentioned somewhere, I bought thin vinyl to put over it so it would stay clean and whatnot.

Well, it's shiny because of the vinyl. Is there something else I was suppose to get? Does it look as weird as I think it does? Everyone elses cake boards are matte and look great.



Won't this look...odd with a cake on it?
