WHY IS MY GUMPASTE AND FONDANT ALWAYS SOOO DAMN STICKY MAKING IT HARD TO WORK WITH... I HAVE MY LAST WILTON CLASS TOMORROW AND WE HAVE TO BRING A FONDANT COVERED CAKE AND DECORATE IT IN CLASS. LAST NIGHT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE SOME BUNNIES BUT MY FONDANT/GUMPASTE WAS SOOOOOOO SOFT AND STICKY.. SOMEONE TOLD ME ADDING POWDER SURGAR ONLY MAKES IT MORE STICKY SO WHAT CAN I ADD.. PLEASE HELP I NEED TO HAVE THIS STUFF COMPLETE BY TONIGHT FOR TOMORROW...

I use cornstarch. You shouldn't have to knead it in or anything. I use it on the table for rolling out. If it is still to sticky on top to roll, do a VERY light dusting with a pastry brush on top and that should do the trick.
