Im trying my new icing tip that allows you to make a basket weave but I want to know what type of icing would hold up the best and not slide off. Im making a 3 layer cake that I will cover in buttercream fondant, then apply the icing basket weave ontop of that. Please help!
are you set on using the fondant? If you are doing an icing basketweave on top of the fondant, you could skip that part and do a crumb coat of BC, let that crust, and then just do your basketweaving on top of the crumb coat.
so anyone know how to do the basketweave with the fondant?
